Delicious & creamy Sunday gnocchi

Good morning everyone! I haven´t been very present lately but that doesn´t mean I stopped cooking ; )

Today I bring to the table a delicious gnocchi recipe for 4 people.


  • 1.5 k potatoes
  • A pinch of sea salt and a pinch of black pepper
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • 600 g of white flour (0000)
  • 2 eggs


Boil the potatoes with salt until tender on the inside (around 15´). Take from the pan and smash them creating a pureé. *the potatoes should all have around the same size.

Let the mashed potatoes cool down a little bit on the table you will work on and then add the flower, salt, pepper, ambient temperature butter and start unifying the ingredients. once it starts blending add the eggs and mix with your hands until you get an homogeneous consistency. *You can also mix it in a large bowl but I rather do it on a clean kitchen counter.


Shape small portions of the dough into long cilinders, cut in similar size rectangles and shape them with the help of a fork or a gnocchi tool. *Better do it on a floured surface.

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Drop in gnocchi and cook for 3 minutes or until gnocchi have risen to the top; drain and serve.

I made a fresh basil, tomato, garlic sauce * see recipe on my website and also used.

Remember to top it with some fresh grated parmigiano cheese and share it with the people you love.
